Thursday, Sept 15th 6:30- 10p NO dance experience, nor partner required!
The underworld of authentic Argentine Tango is a fascinating place. You dance with friends and strangers for hours knowing only the magic of improvisation and mutual dance dialog. To accomplish this each partner learns a language that is universal, but combined infinitely, and communicates clearly. This crash course will teach those skills. Later the Argentine Tango dancer elaborates their own construction of the dance and followers participate with their special musical energy and influence. The dance communicates sensuality, emotion, and power. Tango celebrates connection. We will learn the basic elements, and practice drills. You can dance tango in venues across the city and world-wide. Join me and my assistant Paul Walcott in opening the Pandora's Box that is Argentine tango. Based on the response to this offering we have the option to continue with more advanced offerings. Schedule: Session One 6:30- 7:50 -break-10 min Session Two 8:00-9:30 9:30-10p Supervised Practice/Coaching session.
